OKLAHOMA CITY - The Star Spencer Mid-High athletic department announced the hiring of Tamera Shaver as the new girls basketball head coach on Tuesday.
Over the last three seasons, Shaver served as an assistant coach for the Lady Bobcats. She has one other coaching stop at Moore High School as the freshman girls coach in the 2022-23 season.
Shaver is OKC born and bred. She graduated from Moore High School in 2016 and received a scholarship to Allen County Community College where she played two seasons in Kansas. She transferred to NCAA Division II affiliate Southern Arkansas University to finish her final two years where she was named the Great American Conference Defensive Player of the Year in the 2018-19 season.
Coach Shaver currently teaches Spanish I and II at Star Spencer.
